I moved recently, and while a lot has been scary and exhausting and exciting, there hasn't been time to really work on music. Last year, in a similar bout of writer's block, I worked on a Meatloaf cover thing, and it helped me push some new things in a less "serious" type environment. I heard "Hey Jealousy" on the radio recently and thought I'd so something similar in between a couple of nights that I had the place to myself.

Beyond the Gin Blossoms's hit, I also did a piece based on the breakdown from "Till I Hear it From You", taking a couple of bars and stretching them out and using the midi to generate some instruments, though instead of calming things, I've kinda gravitated toward more noisier, chaotic compositions lately. Taste of what to come in 2023.

The final track is a Steve Reich, phase loop experiment gone crazy.

It's shorter tracks. It's sillier music. Enjoy.

I just listened to this and I'm not sure what to say about it other than that I really really liked it and I want other people to hear it. It combines two of my favorite genres, which are difficult-to-describe-electronic-music and vaguely-folkish-alterna-rock. but it does so in a way that I've not heard before and I don't know how to describe, so you'll just have to listen to it so you can go "Ah, that's what that rambling fool was on about!"
